Why Organic?

What does "Organic" mean?

Organic means that the ingredients have been sourced and harvested in a manner that is better for the environment and free of pesticides, herbicides, genetically modified organisms and any synthetic ingredients or harmful chemicals.

Did you know that cosmetic products and ingredients, with the exception of color additives, do not require FDA approval before they go on the market?

This means that you, the consumer, are on your own for making sure that products that you put on yourself and your loved ones are safe.

Did you know that the products we put on our skin are actually absorbed into the body?

That means that anytime we use products containing synthetic chemicals or chemical preservatives, synthetic fragrances, GMO's, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, silicone or ingredients that were treated with pesticides and herbicides, we are basically consuming the product as if it were being ingested.

Below is an informative article from the Huffington Post on skincare and how the products you put on your skin can affect you and your baby's health. There is also information from the FDA's website on the lack of FDA approval for cosmetics under the paragraph titled "How approval requirements are different."
